Purpose: The Head Volleyball Coach promotes an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship while embodying the mission of the program. Our Head Coaches will provide leadership and supervision for their team, manage scheduling, competition and practice preparation as well as encourage player development and community engagement.

Payment rate: Hourly rate of $23.00 - $28.50/hour depending on experience.
Per Diem and hotel for tournaments over one hour away from The Twin Cities Metro area.
MN Safe & Sick Time.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year coaching experience for club or school programs or 2+ years as a college athlete within the sport.
Pass a JVA Sponsored Background Check.
Complete Abuse Prevention Training and pass the subsequent assessment.
Possess a desire to continue career improvement.
Valid Driver’s License and consistent access to a reliable vehicle.
Access to personal devices for communications such as email, text, etc.
Essential Functions:
Provide instruction, teaching and coaching athletes during practice and competition.
Create and implement practice plans, and competition strategies.
Promote an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Communicate effectively with the Assistant Coach, Coaching Director, parents of players and players.
Work effectively with other Head and Assistant Coaches and members of the board and club staff.
React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
Assist with building and fostering a supportive and competitive team culture representing the missions, values and goals of Twin Cities Elite Volleyball Club.
Participate in club activities such as guest coaching clinics, health and wellness seminars, fundraising events and club hosted tournaments.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
Occasional stooping, bending, and reaching.
Requires some travel.
Must work indoors.
Must work in noisy and crowded environments.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Supervise their club team in all areas of participation.
Help athletes achieve gains in athletic skill and team performance.
Assist with organizing and supervising the athletes to assure that the program is properly implemented.
Attend meetings with coaching staff periodically and consistently throughout the club season.
Assist with developing team rules, communicating them to the players and their parents, and equitably enforce them.
Ensure that health and safety precautions are observed during all activities.
Immediately report all major injuries incurred during practice sessions or competition to the Coaching Director.
Ensure proper care of equipment.
Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas, and techniques.
Other duties as assigned by the Coaching Director.
